GROWING PERIOD
Perennial evergreen tree, that begin to seed at about 26 years og age. Can be grown in a coppice rotation of 25-30 years.

COMMON NAMES
Grey oak, Ban oak, Ban, Banj, Rhin, Rin, Rinj, Shiddar.

FURTHER INF
In the Western Himalaya, grey oak can be found at elevations between 630 and 2700 m. It can reach a height of 13-27 m. Young trees can withstand a fair amount of shade and even older trees can survive under light shade.
