(GMIN estimated by the compiler). COMMON NAMES Mile-a-minute, Brodjo lego, Hila kitu lama, Blikar, Ceroma, Akar lupang, Selaput tunggul, Bikas, Detidid, Uoko, Khikaiyan. FURTHER INF Scientific synonyms: M. volubilis, Eupatorium cordatum. Mile-a-minute is native of tropical Asia and Africa. It can become a devastating weed in crops of tea, coconut, rubber, oil palm, coffee, bananas and sugar cane, and can smother leguminous cover crops. It can be found at elevations between sea level and 2000 m or more. |
