In India it is sown in September-November and harvested first time for forage in February-April. It may be cut 2-4 times. COMMON NAMES Indian melliot, Sourclover, Indian sweetclover, Annual yellow sweetclover, Senji. FURTHER INF Scientific synonym: M. parviflora. Can become a winter weed. Indian melliot is native to the region from the Mediterranean and Ethiopia east to India. In India, it can be found at elevations between sea level and 1650 m. |
