White kongu can reach a height of 30-37 m and a girth of 4.6 m. It can be found at elevations from 50 to 1100 m. It is adapted to a mean annual humidity of about 70% and often reaching 100%. The tree can withstand heavy shade in the early stages, later it is light demanding.
