SOURCES Mannetje L 1992 pp 129-131 [USE, DEP, DRA, RAIN, TEMP, TEXT] GROWING PERIOD Perennial deciduous tree. When planted as a cutting, it can be lopped 3 years after planting. This should be done 90-120 days before the dry season so that the foliage is well developed during this season. Flowering and fruiting starts when the tree is 5-6 years old. (GMIN and GMAX estimated by the compiler). COMMON NAMES Bunut lengis, Wunut, Sipadi, Marabotum, Balete, Tibi, Sai. FURTHER INF Scientific synonyms: F. garciniifolia, F. calophylloides, F. fairchildii. Bunut lengis can become up to 30 m tall. Dry matter yields for fodder may be 12-20 kg per tree for 3-year-old trees and 140-225 kg for older trees. Firewood production from 3-year-old trees may be 30-65 kg per tree increasing to 240-350 kg per tree for older trees.
