BRIEF DESCRIPTION A densely tufted perennial grass up to 90 cm high. USES Used for pasture, it has tough leaves and is grazed only when young, will not withstand heavy grazing and its nutritive value is low throughout the year. GROWING PERIOD Perennial grass. COMMON NAMES Exotheca. FURTHER INF Exotheca is mainly found in Central Africa between latitudes 0-18°S, at elevations from 1000 to 3000 m and is common in montane grassland. Should be burned every second year.
