BRIEF DESCRIPTION A tall, coarse, tufted grass reaching a height of 0.75-1.8 m. USES Used for forage and for erosion control on inland sand dunes. GROWING PERIOD Perennial. COMMON NAMES Canada wildrye, Canada wildryegrass. FURTHER INF Canada wildrye occurs on the Great Plains and in the nothwestern part of the United States.
