BRIEF DESCRIPTION A large tufted thin-walled bamboo, with culms sometimes erect but often overhanging and almost horizontal, with large branches. The culms can reach a height of 24-27 m and a diameter of 15-18 cm. GROWING PERIOD Perennial. COMMON NAMES Kaghsi bans, Pecha, Tama, Kokwa, Wabo-myetsangye. FURTHER INF Kaghsi bans is native of the central and eastern sub-Himalayan region, ascending to 1000 m in elevation. |
