BRIEF DESCRIPTION A very tall, symmetrical, evergreen tree reaching 40-90 m in height with a straight bole, cylindrical and selfpruning up to 35 m or more and up to 300 cm in diameter. USES The wood is used for various purposes and is recommended for aircraft frame manufacturing. The tree is used as an ornamental. GROWING PERIOD Perennial. COMMON NAMES Klinkii pine, Pa's, Gerau, Bimu, Yanguman, Yomojo, Karina, Rassu, Nd'uk, Kembaga, Saa'vara, Sowes. FURTHER INF Scientific synonyms: A. schummaniana, A. klinkii. Klinkii pine can be found at elevations between 200-2100 m. The tree occur naturally within the latitudinal range of 5-10°S. Optimum annual wood production is 20-30 m3/ha. Adapted to mean monthly relative humidity of 50 to 89%.
