BRIEF DESCRIPTION A medium sized to tall tree attaining 50 m in height and the trunk up to 2.7 m diameter. The trunk is without bittresses and usually straight until the start of the crown. USES Timber not durable in the ground, but used for house framing and flooring and joinery. GROWING PERIOD Perennial. COMMON NAMES Kauri pine, Bull kauri, Bull pine, Amboyna pitch tree, Agathis indien, Pin de kauri, Bindang, Tulong, Damar sigi, Damar bindang, Damar minyak, Mengilan, Almaciga, Bidiango, Bagtik, Son-khaomao. FURTHER INF In Australia, its latitudinal range is between 17-18°S and the altitudinal range is 400-900 m.
