In India the flowers, and leaves appear in March-May, fruit ripen in July-October, and leaves fall from November. COMMON NAMES Kainsal, Kainjali, Kamia, Khami, Jerimu, Kanchula, Kanjiol, Anandhi, Bikandhi, Kinar, Mandar, Trekham, Tilpattar, Kauri, Salima, Kanzal bodal. FURTHER INF Kainsal can reach a height of 20-27 m. In India, it can be found at elevations from 1200 to 3000 m, but is most common between 1800 and 2500 m. The tree is moderately shade tolerant in the early stages. |
