BRIEF DESCRIPTION A moderate sized tree reaching a height of up to 18 m and a diameter of 30-40 cm. It has a relatively open and narrow crown. USES It can provide fuelwood, poles, and rainls, shade, and shelter. The leaves are eaten by livestock. GROWING PERIOD Perennial. COMMON NAMES Lancewood. FURTHER INF Lancewood occurs in northeasten Australia within the latitudinal range 14-28°S at elevations between 50-350 m. It is mainly found on rocky outsrops and steep slopes. It is nitrogen-fixing. |
