BRIEF DESCRIPTION A shrub or slender small tree reaching a height of 3-10 m. USES The wood can be used as fuel and the tree can be used as fodder for sheep and cattle, light shade and low shelter and windbreak. GROWING PERIOD Perennial. COMMON NAMES Black wattle. FURTHER INF This acacia occurs in northern Australia within the latitudinal range 11-18°S at elevations between sea level and 300 m. It can be found on gentle to moderate topography, with some steep slopes and small ridges.
