BRIEF DESCRIPTION Usually a branchy shrub up to 4 m tall but can also develop into a small tree reaching a height of up to 6 m with a stem diameter of up to 25 cm. USES Wood can be used for fuel and small round timber. The plant can provide low shelter and windbreaks. GROWING PERIOD Perennial. Withstands a dry period of up to 11 months. COMMON NAMES Latzs wattle. FURTHER INF Latzs wattle can be found in central Australia within the latitudinal range 24-26°S at elevations between 400-500 m. It occurs in low hilly country. It is nitrogen-fixing.
