BRIEF DESCRIPTION A small tree typically with an erect and slender stem, reaching a height of up to 6-10 m. USES The wood can be used as posts, poles, and firewood. It can provide tanning and light shade. It can also be planted as an ornamental. GROWING PERIOD Fast-growing perennial. Withstands a dry season of 1-3 months. COMMON NAMES Acacia glaucocarpa. FURTHER INF This acacia occurs in southeastern Queensland, Australia within the latitudinal range 23-29°S at elevations between 30-450 m. It is found on undulating to hilly country, from narrow flats along streams to the crests of stony ridges.
