DESCRIPTION: It is a herb growing in shallow slow-flowing or still water and on flood plains. Leaves oval, 1.5-5 cm long, with a short petiole and blunt tip. The plant is rooted in water but has floating or protruding foliage. USE: Food and feed for pigs. GROWING PERIOD: Perennial. COMMON NAMES: Water primrose, creeping water primrose, red ludwigia. FURTHER INF: It is a serious aquatic weed of rice paddy in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. | Sources |
