GROWING PERIOD Perennial grass. (GMIN and GMAX estimated by the compiler). COMMON NAMES Pit-pit, Tropical reed. FURTHER INF Pit-pit can be found at elevations from near sea level to 2000 m in New Guinea. It only thrives in rainfall regimes as low as 200 mm when growing in swamps.
