BRIEF DESCRIPTION A grass and cereal crop. USES A source of flour and livestock feed. The grains can be ground into a starchy white flour that is favored for making fine pastries and cakes and the grains can also be added to soups. GROWING PERIOD Annual grass. COMMON NAMES Emmer. FURTHER INF Emmer is native of Europe and temperate Asia.
