Habitat:
It grows naturally in woodlands, mixed forests, deciduous
woodlands and lowlands.
Environment
Latitude:
Altitude: It can be found at elevations between 400-2000 m.
Temperature: Temperatures for germination of seed
has been reported to be: minimum 11.8°C, optimum 23.5°C and
maximum 36°C. Reported temperature range for growth is 12-
40°C with the optimum between 16-28°C.
Water: Reported annual rainfall range for growth is
400-1400 mm with the optimum between 700-1200 mm.

Physical: It is not very specific to soil type and
can be found on deep sandy soil on rocky slopes, and grows
on acidic dark-grey clays and red or yellow-red loams.
